Best of Canada  will give the public the chance to see the most daring and controversial; the most provocative and profound film and TV concepts in the world – with an emphasis on Canadian content.

Eagerly anticipated by local, regional and international networks and production companies, Best of Canada will be attended by Global TV, Alliance Atlantis, CTV, Chum City and a cadre of other tier-one Broadcasters.

What makes this festival different?
Best of Canada  is a festival that is targeted to industry insiders who are seeking programming content and film ideas. Compiled from an updated data base from William Morris and CFC Inc in Canada , invitations have been sent out to A-level producers, directors and production coordinators who are looking to develop and produce TV and Film in the coming year.

Our festival puts the spotlight on the rich independent film and TV industry; emphasizing the nurturing and development of emerging Canadian talent . Our mission is quite simply to spot the stars of tomorrow before everyone else and to offer a forum to showcase their vision, creativity and raw talent.

Best of Canada is a bridge to provide reach for budding filmmakers and TV producers; to connect with the people who can help them to breakthrough in their promising careers.

A dynamic selection committee of the most distinguished industry professionals will be in charge of all selections. Our goal is to showcase Canada 's most original and cutting-edge TV and film projects. To accomplish this, an elected committee of 12 members will screen all submissions, looking for originality, marketability and profitability in the marketplace.

Who is eligible to submit?
Any producer who has independently financed their project without the help of government funding or grants is encouraged to submit. We are only accepting short films and TV pilots that run 15 minutes or under. Exceptions may be made if the content warrants a time extension.
